I am deeply saddened by the passing of Rodney, who I could or would consider him an Uncle. My deepest condolences to his family, and children, Pam, Dan and Matt. A not so funny memory of mine, would be when he was emceeing my mothers retirement roast, was he was leaving on a europeon tour and I ran to him to say goodbye and leaped into his arms. Our heads collided and I busted him wide open, making have to have stitches prior to him leaving. He was also a good reference for me several times. I...

Dear Trongard family: you have my sincere sympathy in the passing of your father and grandfather. This will create a large hole in your heart. It eases the pain of loss to know they are in a much better place. I remember Rod from the 60's before he became a part of the Strauss family, when Pam married Joe, and Shannon and Dan came together.
You are in my heart and prayers

I am saddened to hear of Rod's passing. He was a good man who was a great friend to our family. He was always there when called upon. He will be truly missed and my heart goes out to his family. I thought my Dad had a powerful voice but Rod's will always be remembered for his caring words and humorous commentary.

My heart is so heavy. Rod was such special and close friend of my family, (Glenn and Betty Olson) living next door for many years and our families having many happy times together. I will cherish my precious memories of Rod, how he ALWAYS called me Pegasus, resulting in my love for the "Flying White Horse" and then starting my Pegasus collection, or....... how he never failed to bring up an embarrassing dilemma involving me their cesspool. Yuk! Rod was there for my Dad, my Mom, my...

I remember Rod with fondness, as he was a dear family friend. He will be missed by many, but it's a comfort to know he is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
God bless,

Was greatly saddened to learn of the silence created by Rod's passing.
Although 20 years apart, we shared the bond of graduating from Sacred Heart High School and the "Norske" heritage.
As an officer of the Masonic fraternity, I was proud to hear him speak at the MN Masonic Cancer Fund dinner over a year ago.
God bless his memory and may He comfort his family.

I've been a fan for years of Mr. Trongard's work in the AWA. His wrestling announcing is fondly remembered by more than he probably knew...his calls were a part of my childhood. My heart goes out to his family.

I went to school with Rod at the School of Agriculture-U of M in St. Paul in the early 50s. We both played intramural basketball, and Rod and I played with the intramural all-star team. I’ll never forget the game we played against the varsity team and won. We had an enjoyable time in school.
I haven’t seen Rod in 50 years and just six months ago discovered he lived in Mankato. I was planning to call him, but kept putting it off.
My sympathy goes out to his family.
