I was shocked and saddened to hear of Rodney's passing. I have spoken with several staff members and former students from Athens State and we all share your sorrow.
I remember Rodney as a very cooperative student who was always willing to take the time to participate in extra-curricular activities. Especially the African-American History Association of which I was Advisor. Rodney was also very detetermined to complete his degree program. He graduated in June of 1992.

My heart felt sympathy go out to the Winston family on the lost of a good friend and fellow classmate. We were both students at Athens State College and natives of Birmingham, AL. We all enjoyed Rodney and he will be sorely missed. May the Lord bless and always keep you.
