RODOLFO GONZALES

1933 - 2017

Rodolfo A. Gonzales, age 83, was born and a life-long resident of El Paso, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2017, surrounded by family who dearly loved him. Married; cherished and loved for 55 years to Virginia Gill; loving father of Michael (Dianne) Beltrán, Fred (Emma) Beltrán Jr., Myrna (Manuel) Quiñones, Cynthia (Fernando) Garza, Enrique (Sandra) Beltrán and Yvette (Neish) Carroll; adored grandfather of twelve. Respected and admired great grandfather to twenty-three grandchildren. Rodolfo joined his beloved mother Maria Armendariz, father Jesus Gonzales and three sisters Margarita Reyes, Dolores Pinner and Teresa Mendoza in heaven after his long honorable battle with heart disease. He worked for Hartshorn Construction Company for 20+ Years and became a business man with his own construction company, V & R Plastering Company and retired in 1996. Rodolfo had a strong personality and an uncompromising work ethic. He was extremely loyal and loved deeply. At age 13 he became head of the household and raised three sisters and one brother. Rodolfo married Virginia Gill and had an instant family of five children, later to add one more child. His unwavering discipline and loving guidance created a very strong united and caring family. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. He was admired and respected as a friend, brother, cousin, uncle and most especially a husband; father, grandfather; and great grandfather. He is also survived by his loving brother, Jesus Gonzales and sister, Emma Lopez. The family would like to thank Envision Hospice for their constant caring support and dedication to our father. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. with Vigil service at 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home on North Carolina. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Parrish, 7712 Rosedale Street, El Paso, Texas on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
