Not sure what to say?

I hadn't thought about Mr. Conway in years, but today I was teaching a class about anecdotes and was telling my students about the wonderful anecdotes Mr. Conway would tell us in class. I decided to look him up and sadly found this page. You are missed, Mr. Conway, and know that you have inspired me to spend my career being a teacher just like you. Thank you for your inspiration.

I am speechless. I had the honor of knowing Mr. Conway at South Dade in Florida. He was a person that had great stories and knew how to motivate. I graduate in 2000 and was heading to West Point. He would share about his experiences and his journey. He was always willing to share and was just so kind about it. I still give him credit for teaching me about stocks and investments. He gave me a head start and I thank him for that. Mr. Conway.....thank you sir. Go Army beat Navy

In my lifetime I have been blessed to become acquainted with some truly extraordinary individuals. Mr. Conway was definitely one of them. He was my history teacher at South Dade Senior High, and by far my favorite teacher ever. He was patient, witty, compassionate, and kind. He was inspirational. It's been almost 30 years since I graduated, and my heart broke when I learned of his passing. He made a difference in this crazy world, and will be missed.

Mr. Conway taught world history and economics to me at South Dade Senior High, in Homestead, FL. He had a knack for telling stories. Those stories were always pertinent to the lessons he taught, and it was that ability that made me look forward to going to his classroom every day. I was sad to hear of his passing, but I know that the heavens have received a good man.

He will be missed.

When I was a freshmen in High School I met Rody Conway and he was a substitute in many of my classes. Instantly I connected with him as we would share common interests in History (particularly military history as he understood my enthusiasm to join the Marines). He would shed many stories about from when he was in sweet Point, to when he lived in Florida and the difffernt students he had. From current events, to Ancient Greece and Rome, to politics, we would talk for hours sometimes while...

Brenda and I extend our sincerest condolences to Rhonda and her family. Rody was a college classmate and friend for over 60 years. A great guy who will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. May Rody rest in peace.

Mr. Conway was my history teacher and I was his student assistant my senior in high school. He was the greatest teacher I have ever come across. He made history so much fun to learn. He gave it such enthusiasm that it made to learn what he was teaching. He retired at the end of my senior year and I never knew what happened to him after that. Rest In Peace, Mr. Conway.
