SANCHEZ
Our most loving father, Rogelio Sanchez has been reunited in heaven with Natividad, his beloved wife of 59 years. His longing to be with his beautiful wife was fulfilled on Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Dad was 84 at the time of his death. His Air Force career took him places throughout the world and upon his retirement, after 26 years, began working for the Fisheries section of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. After retiring from the TPWD, he re-entered government service with the Air Force Cryptologic Support Center, Security Hill. He is survived by his devoted children; Roy and Marie, Norma and Frank Perez, Rose Ann Compian, Paul and Leticia, Michael and Karen and Deacon Albert and Sandra, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. His surviving sisters and brothers are Ramona and Pete Munoz, Frances Ramirez, George Sanchez and Humberto and Lupita Sanchez. Our dad was also known as Roy or Roger to his friends and family. Throughout the years he was a supportive and active member of St. Stephens Catholic Church. He served on the Church Council and as a Eucharistic Minister, SAWS Capital Improvement Advisory Committee and with the Mirando City Panthers High School Reunions (Class of 1947). A particularly proud moment of his youth was being on the 1946 Panther's Bi-District Championship Football team. His model of servant leadership is his legacy to his children. What we will miss most about our dad is his kind, sincere, loving and respectful manner towards us and everyone he met. He was a true gentleman and a friend to all. We will miss your presence here with us Dad, grandpa, tio, brother and friend. Visitation will begin Friday, August 9th at 6:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church with a Vigil and Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 10th at 10:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church. Entombment at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery II will follow the funeral mass. Condolences may be sent to the Sanchez family at www.theangelusfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by:
