Another holiday season is gone, I put away the decorations - finally... It doesnt get easier. I miss you...... I love you........

I just learned today of Roger´s passing. I was very fond of Roger. He was my direct supervisor while working as an I.T. technician at Esco. I learned something about leadership from him. I was a young adult in a role at a fairly big company. I made mistakes as any newbie does, but Roger always stood in front of the bullets. I think it came from a sense of duty as my superior, given his military background. He would privately teach me on how to do something different the next time, but in...

Atchley was a Sergeant of the Guard aboard the USS Hornet as the first men went to the moon. He went through his reenlistment ceremony as the astronauts officiated via the mobile quarantine facility. Quite a historic day.

I met Roger & family about 8 or 9 years ago when we moved in next door to them when they lived across from the Chelatchee store! Always a wonderful & sweet man!!! I'm very proud to call Roger & the family my very dear friends!!!! RIP my friend & much love to Carol,& the family!!!!!!

I first met Roger at the Chelatchie Prairie store many years ago. He would walk across the street every morning for his paper. Never much to say but always a smile and a good morning. Plus a have a great day. One last time good morning and hope your having a great time. RIP my friend.
