Not sure what to say?

Roger was such a strong person, physically & mentally as well as spiritually. He was one of only a few people I experience who could have two totally knee replacements at the same time and do very well following his surgery. I always loved our interactions and learned a great deal from Roger.

Everyone who knew him will miss Roger Capps. He pitched in and helped make the community a better place. With a great sense of humor and the highest integrity, he selflessly worked to make things better for everyone.
The one time I played golf with him, I had my best round ever, because that was the kind of person he was -- he made you feel comfortable and at ease.
My sincere condolences to Jan and other family members. I was truly sorry to be out of town during the celebration of...

His obituary speaks to Roger being the 'glue' of his family and as his oldest sister in law I can attest to that. He made sure his mother's tradition of the 'birthday calendar' continued and in addition made sure his parents were cared for in their old age. Yes Roger was a 'people'person - from high-fiving his students as the principal for several schools in the Clackamas District to organizing...

My condolences for you brother Doug!!! I do remember him always smiling.

Mr. Capps was my Principal during my 5th and 6th grade years at Happy Valley Elementary. I remember his gentle attitude toward children. A career in Education is a family affair. So thank you for your service as a principal Mr. Capps, and thank you to his family for supporting his time in Education. Blessings on your time reflecting, remembering, and grieving.

My two children both came to know Roger and Jan through the church and had the opportunity to earn some cash helping take care of their landscaping while away. They really liked Roger and that says a lot for a man when kids become friends.
