Not sure what to say?

Father Carroll was a kind and gentle man with an Irish smile. I was a long time resident of St Columba Parish. Please accept my deepest sympathy and may he rest in peace.

My dear mother, seriously mentally ill, found such counsel, dignity and solace from Fr Carroll when he served at the St Paul Cathedral. A priest of great kindness, I wish I could have had an opportunity to thank him for the true message of Christ he conveyed to my mom. She held the clergy in such high regard. Fr Carroll demonstrated her regard was well placed. He surely has a place in Heaven. My condolences to you who loved him.

Father Carroll will be remembered fondly as a kind, caring, and gentle man. He was a dedicated pastor at Blessed Sacrament and became and continued to be a cherished personal friend. He will be missed by many. God bless him.
Mary Jane (Bob) Meis and family

I remember Father Carroll as a child attending Blessed Sacrament Church (the original one) in St. Paul. He was kind to all of us; he'd stop by our confirmation classes to speak to us. I was blessed to know him. To his family, may God be with you during this time and please accept my deepest sympathies. My prayers are with all of you.

Our sincerest condolences to all of the loved ones of the beloved Father Carroll. I had the honor of serving as one of his altar boys at Blessed Sacrament Church in the early 70's. May he rest in peace.

A very good man. My wife was a first year teacher at Blessed Sacrament, his parish. I had just had multiple surgeries at Mayo for a rare and severe type of cancer. One day there was a knock on my door. I opened it and there was a priest whom I had never seen before. He introduced himself. We lived in Oakdale, not his parish. He had come over to see if I was OK and needed anything. He did this several more times during my recovery.
Talk about a guy who saw his duty and did it.

A good priest has gone home to God and will be missed here. May he pray for us.
