i am so sorry to hear of roger's death - it feels untimely to me. i respected roger as a scholar and a man; when i was doing buddhist studies he was supportive as a scholar, and he was both supportive and interested in a scholarly way when i was working to bring a lesbian buddhist community together in the early 90s in SF. he was at my wedding and took a keen interest in our community. i know that he retired to vallejo and we lost touch over the years. i am saddened by his loss and wish the...
