Not sure what to say?

So sorry to read this! Wish I had gotten wind of it sooner. We were very close school friends!

Dear Alana, Bettylyn and family. My love to you all during this time. You are such a special, lovely family and I know your father/husband would have cherished being able to spend his last days with you all nearby. Much love to you all Louise

I've just heard from Roger p that Roger has died. I thought of him and Mike on that pacific posting as I was doing the latest sorting of Mike's notes and papers today! I remember a special time in samoa with you Alana, at the blue marlin. I'm here in coromandel if that ever works for any of you. Much love! kate donoghue

Dearest Bettylyn We heard yesterday of Roger's passing and watched the recording of his beautiful service just now. We are devastated that you have lost your soulmate in this life and our hearts weigh heavy for you. We remember Roger so fondly but the amazing tributes have given us a deeper and more wonderful picture than we knew. What a legacy of goodness and humanity he leaves - an inspiration to us all. Sending you, and Alana and Elliot our heartfelt love Lynda (Harris) and David Muir

With deepest sympathy to Alanah, Matt and family. Sandra & John

I will remember Roger with fondness, he was a modest man and a man who tried hard to promote conservation in NZ, Samoa and the Pacific region. Roger was also a man of good humour, a sense of fun and with a kind, compassionate nature. He will be missed by many in Samoa and across the Pacific as he was one of the few who tried to walk the talk, for example by promoting carbon audits and offsetting c-emissions of regional organisations (eg at SPREP- see pic attached). Wishing Bettylyn...

Tragic to hear of Roger's death. We had fallen out of touch, but Roger was a treasure, so decent, kind, dedicated to conservation and the Pacific, and we at ECO really feel for you all in your loss. Arohanui from Cath Wallace and Barry Weeber and all the others in "Ngati ECO" as Te Ati Awa's Aila Taylor once put it on Owae Marae in Taranaki. We will not forget him and his efforts. Kia kaha.

Dearest Roger, Champion fellow Dedicated family man Committed Conservationist Epic public servant Hollywood handsome We will miss him surely but think of him often with many happy memories. Much love to BettyLyn & family
