The renaissance man, always adding a cultured quip with a fast paced wimsical and often terrifyingly delivery that was often difficult to keep up with. He did not have an equal. I too spent over four decades in service to US EPA and value this dedicated public servant who was so much more.

Dr. Roger Cortesi was one of the most erudite and witty individuals I have ever met. He was a font of information on a broad array of topics. For about 10 years our offices were across the hall from one another and it was in these years that I got to know him best although we had known each other for many years.
