US Postal Service employeeLYNN-Mr. Roger John Dumont of Lynn died Monday in Lahey Clinic Burlington after a lengthy illness. Husband of Teresa D. (Garuti) Dumont with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.Mr. Dumont was born in Sutton Quebec, Canada, son of the late Leo and Theresa (Morin) Dumont. He came to the United States at age 13 and has resided in Lynn since.He worked for the United States Postal Service AMF at Logan Airport where he worked in security mail for over 40 years until his retirement.He was a United States Marine veteran and held the rank of Private First Class.Mr. Dumont was an avid bowler and was a member of many local leagues.Besides his wife he leaves two sons Roger J. Dumont,Jr. of Lynn and Gregory J. Dumont and his wife Karen of Boxford, one daughter Teresa "Tes" McGann and her husband Thomas of Lynn, three sisters Francine Connolly of Lynn, Martha Flammia of Lynn and Lorraine Callahan of Salem, NH, four Grandchildren Eva Dumont, David Dumont, Melissa Dumont and Stephen Dunham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.He was the father of the late Robert J. Dumont.Service Information: Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn, Friday at 11 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 12:00 noon.
