Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Jones & Son Funeral Home, Richton for Mr. Roger L. Easterling, age 74, of Richton who died November 3, at his residence. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Bro Sammy Odom will officiate and burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.
His parents, W. J. and Gladys Easterling preceded him in death.
Roger was a member of Unity Primitive Baptist Church of Moss Point.
He is survived by three sisters, Sylvia Shumaker (Wesley) of Greenwell Springs, La, Dorothy Jean Borries (Russell) of Henderson, KY and Melba June Hooker (William) of Millington, TN and a host of nieces and nephews.

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Roger's family at this time. Roger has always been a true example of a helping hand to so many. He loved singing and was so good to my mother. He visited her often, he called just checking to see how she was feeling. He would bring his gospel trio over to her house to practice with her playing the piano for them. He knew music and did not want you to miss a musical note. He can now sing and practice with mother and his trio. Thanks Roger for being a...
