ROGER EDWIN FAULKNER, 60, of Rocky Gap, VA, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at his home.
He was born July 25, 1963 in Bluefield, WV, the son of Alfred & Peggy Faulkner.
Roger was a free spirit and moved to the beat of his own drum. He would help anyone. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved his motorcycle. He loved sweets, especially Little Debbie Cakes and ice cream.
He was proud of his recent decision to get saved and to allow the Lord into his heart and life.
Roger was very organized and meticulous. He always figured if you were going to do a job, then you should do it to the best of your ability.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Ann Weddle Faulkner and his brother, Randy Michael Faulkner.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 39 years, Karen Harden Faulkner; his daughters, Lauren Elizabeth Faulkner and Lindsey Taylor Faulkner; his father & special friend, Alfred Leonard Faulkner & Pearl Miller; his brother, Rick Faulkner; his sister, Dr. Rhonda Faulkner; special nieces and nephews, Eric & Karen Faulkner and their sons, Owen and Raymond and Dr. Adrianna Faulkner and his special pet companion, his dog, “Oliver.” He is also survived by numerous extended family members, too many to list.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Rocky Gap Methodist Church with Pastor Rodney Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluewell, WV. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. until service time, 1:00 P.M.

I pray that Karen, Lindsay, Lauren, Al and the family feel the Lord's comfort and love. Roger was surely loved by so many and he was a loving and kind person to those fortunate enough to be his friend. I have so many fond memories of our younger days playing cards at Roger and Karen's home. Psalm 16:11 promises that in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. God bless and keep you all in the days ahead.

Roger was an excellent plumber and all around nice guy. I was fortunate enough to have met him through plumbing work and was I ever thankful for his plumbing help! He was funny, polite, always talking about his beautiful wife and children and telling funny stories. I jokingly referred to him as the “midnight plumber” for he would work, if needed, even in the night. He will be remembered for his smile, work ethic and brilliant personality!
