Mr. Roger Dennis Fleming, 68, of Supply, NC, formerly of Valdese, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his residence. Roger was born on July 3, 1949 in Catawba County to the late Weaver Dennis Fleming and Ruby Kent Fleming. He was formerly employed as a machinist in the electrical industry and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Fleming. Survivors include his wife, Carol Burns Fleming of the home, one son, Jason Fleming and wife Karen of Hickory, and one daughter, Kana Fleming and partner Megan Russell of Hildebran. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Lauren and Megan Fleming of Hickory and two brothers, David and Stephen Fleming. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Garner officiating and with Military Honors provided by the U.S. Marine Corp and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Enon Baptist Church.
