Not sure what to say?

The time we as human beings often think of contacting old friends and relatives, and say tomorrow as in this case to late. Roger was my first cousin. The son of my father Harry's brother. Unfortunately the family did not keep in touch and I deceided to try and find my cousins by way of the internet. I am proud, although to late to tell him in person,I am glad to be able to tell his family that he was someone to be more than proud of. I sincerely wish I had not waited so long.

I was a bladder cancer patient of Dr Goodfriend for several years while my family and I lived in Los Gatos. He was one of the first doctors to use BCG therapy for bladder cancer and I was one of his patients who he treated with what was then a new treatment. It is a pity that I was unable to attend his memorial service.

Roger will be always be a friend and colleague, even in death ; knowing him and working together, we came to be friends; he was an inspiration to me, a much younger physician than he.

He will always be an inspiration to us younger doctors to give our time and talent to others. What a generous soul.

Truly, a generous man and friend to always be remembered.

Dr. Goodfriend was indeed a huge part of Los Gatos Community Hospital. Working with him for many years at LGCH was a privilege. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Roger was a great mentor and friend to me at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Rodney U. Anderson, MD FACS, Stanford

My condolences and prayers go out to his family. He was an inspiration to work with back in the 70's at L.G. Hospital.
