Dear Cousins,
I recently went online to look up Cousin Thomas's obit for my family tree. It was so sad to hear that I never got to meet his brother Roger. When I was in college in Connecticut, Cousin Thomas would have me over for dinner from time to time. My father Gassaway Lewis was very fond of you all and I hope to meet some of my folks in Connecticut.
On behalf of the Lewis and Bacote Family, my sincere condolences and prayers to you all.

To Mr. Goodson's family: What a remarkable man! Roger realized he was blessed with many gifts. He inspired, led, encouraged, fostered and embraced a singular mission of Grace. Utilize one's talents, he would say. How? (He would ask). "By sharing your gifts. Aspire to maximize every blessed moment witnessed by your very presence." A fitting motto of service. Roger lived it. My sympathy to his family on the passing of a great man.
Sincerely,
Tom Clifford

I remember Mr. Goodson from when all our fathers worked at the reformatory and we lived on Jarvis Street. Such a good man! My sympathies to the entire family. I hope he gets to see my father in heaven now too.
