Not sure what to say?

It's been 5 years since Roger Harris and my Mother passed away on my birthday, July 21st. Always remember them on that day. He was our Vice Principal at Jay after Mr. Spikes retired so we had his guidance for our junior and senior years. We were the first freshman class at Jay HS in 1967 so as we became seniors in 1971, he was very proud of us all. Had the pleasure of water skiing with him in the late 70's. See you on the other side, not anytime soon I hope.

My deepest condolences and prayers for you Mrs. Harris and your family. I am sorry for the late message, however, I just found out Mr. Harris had passed last year. He was my principal while I was at Jay from 76-80. He was a good principal and a good man. Although life isn´t always fair, he was fair in his disciplining. He gave you an opportunity to state your case before giving punishment. He always made himself available if you had a problem and needed some advice. Running a high school...

I attended 77-81 and he did make his presence known but he was a very respected leader for our school. I can now appreciate what he taught us and molded us as young people to enable us to be well functioning adults. May you Rest In Peace Mr. Roger Harris

Rest In Peace, Mr. Harris.
Class of 1979

On behalf of the JJHS Class of 1975, we send our deepest condolences to Mr. Harris’ family. May he Rest In Peace.

I remember Mr. Harris walking so tall in the halls. He always looked like he loved his job and he was a fair person. I only ever remember seeing him with a smile on his face.

My condolences , may God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Compassionate leader for my era at Jay. Definitely not someone who accepted a lot of bull from us. Prayers to his loved ones. He will be missed.

RIP Mr. Harris thanks for all the guidance but not for the paddling! You were one of kind and you’ll be dearly missed!
