DUFFIELD, VA – ROGER HENSLEY, AGE 68


 


Roger Hensley, age 68 of Duffield, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2024 after a brief illness. 


He was born in Scott County, VA on September 26, 1956 to the late Willie Hensley and Hazel McDavid Hensley. Roger was a member of The United Mineworkers Association and was of the Christian faith. He loved working with equipment and helping others as well as attending car shows. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Lynn Hensley and Jeff Hensley; & daughter-in-law, Kryssy Hensley.


Roger is survived by his wife, Karen Hensley; sons, Brian Hensley (Christina Jessee) and Derrick Hensley; grandchildren, Jaxon, Shaylee and Kolton Hensley; great-granddaughter, Brennyx Hensley; several nieces and nephews; special friends Evelyn Shepard and Jeff Edds.


The family will receive friends at the residence anytime on Tuesday, October 29 and Wednesday, October 30. In keeping with his wishes there will be no formal service.


The family would like to extend a special thanks to J.R. Combs for his friendship, Mountain Region Home Health and Ballad Health Cancer Center.
