Not sure what to say?

My condolence to Mr Hill's family

Mr Hill was my science teacher when I was a freshman at Santa Maria High in 1970. I didn't like science very much but he made the class fun enjoyable. He was always had a joke or something funny to say. I remember when he brought pictures of his cat that he had potty trained.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

Roger was a mentor to me as a new teacher in the high school district in 1997. As he was the administrator in charge of curriculum, I spent many hours under his direction working on standards, assessments, and planning a fourth year of English...however, what I learned from Roger is not about numbers or accountability.

We will always remember with much fondness, Rogers' wit and humor. He had such a special way of making you feel good to talk and just be around him by his wonderful infectious laughter and love of life.
Our lives were surely blessed by knowing this special man.
Please know Helen, we are holding you close to our hearts.
God bless you and your family.
With much love,
Sam & Jan

Helen - I am so sorry to hear of Roger's passing. I will always remember his cheerful hello and big smile. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.

Your entire family is in our thoughts and prayers. You are blessed to have had such a wonderful man in your life. He will be smiling down on your family.

My sincere sympathies to Roger's family and many friends. He assisted me as a representative of the local VFW Post #2521 in establishing a memorial for the SMHS alumni casualties of the Vietnam war. His selfless dedication and effort helped to make the memorial a reality.

Dear Helen, Peter & Tiffany
I have known Roger since I went to work for the highschool district about 34 years ago. I knew him both as a friend and as a boss. In both capacities he was always warm, loving and always very caring and loved his family very much. It is this love that will get each of you through this.
My husband and I will keep you in our thoughts and in our heart.
Sincerely,
Warren and Shila Brekke
