Not sure what to say?

You will never be forgotten Roger Dale! (We even had an inside joke about your name). The many years we had together were filled with so much laughter, adventure and with Love raising our beautiful children together.
Your one of a kind, laughter and sense of humor - Your Strength and hard worked hands - Your true heart was full of Compassion, Love of Freedom, Graciously Gave to any in need. You loved nature in its purist form!
Being athletic was so natural for you because you were...

Although I didn't know Roger personally, I did know OF him. As an adolescent athlete at Hillcrest, we heard tales of a select few high school athletes at SM West where we were destined to attend. During those years, the 3 names you heard over and over (I still remember them all these years later) were Steve Towle, Randy Fruits & Roger Hires. Roger was said to be one of the fastest guys in West's history at that time. Sad to learn of the passing of a childhood legend. Thoughts & prayers to he...

I was fortunate to live up the street from Roger during elementary, junior high and high school years. He treated everyone with kindness and had a great sense of humor. I especially remember a classmate in elementary school that often was teased and made fun of...Roger treated this boy with respect and friendliness, which speaks greatly of Roger's character....a quality guy. My condolences to his family, he will be missed.

Roger is being fondly remembered by his friends on the "We grew up in the OP! " Facebook page.

Sending hugs and comfort to Rogers family. I will never forget the night he and Marty Fulbright showed up at my door to invite me to join the Tony Bennett fan club. Roger was such a joy to all that knew him. He will certainly have the Angels laughing, miss you old friend.

Roger was the funniest people I have ever known. The memories of all the stuff we used to do are flowing through my mind as I think of him. My condolences to his family as I know he will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Roger.

Roger was one of my first friends-Jim Johnson
