Not sure what to say?

Just a remembrance, Karen and the boys may not remember us. We go way back we were at the Union Oyster House and Roger at Paul's Lobster. Many years of work and fun. Oyster House closed later Paul's as well. Still we kept contact.
Roger took us to Gloucester bass fishing. My son Gus caught his first striper with Roger at about 5years old. He still talks about that. Real Fun!
Missed Roger for a long time. Saw him last year and it was good to see him. Now we will truly miss him.

I have known Roger since high school in North Reading. He and Bruce Alexander were good friends who played on the tennis team together. They were both excellent players. Roger, Bruce, Mike, Al, Charlie, Kevin & me were known as the "Aardvarks" and in HS we did everything together. Roger was very bright & was inducted into the National Honor Society. To be funny and show he didn't know what the future would hold, in his HS yearbook entry for what he wanted to do in life, Roger put "I want to...

Today I was told that Roger passed away. I am Roger's sister's best friend from high school and I have a few fond memories of him I'd like to share. I remember when Sally and I would sometimes visit Roger at UMass on the weekends, he let us have a good time, but kept a watchful, protective eye! Soon Sally and I were roommates in college and he helped us navigate campus life. I also remember my best 4th of July ever, sitting on the banks of the Charles, enjoying the Boston Pops and eating...

Roger was my cousin; our dads were brothers and our mothers were the best of friends. I have such fond and vivid memories of our families visiting both in MA and MD. Roger was, as I like to say, a "true Hughes male" -- quiet and unassuming, hard-working, devoted to his family, and always there to lend a hand to whoever was in need. He will certainly be missed by all of us, but my heart smiles when I think of all those who now surround him.

Roger was a great guy and friend to us over the years. My fond memories go back to the days on Beacon Hill when we attended many concerts at the Esplanade. You will be missed. God bless you and your family. Kathy

I worked with Roger for several years and I am very sorry to be sending this message so long after Roger's passing but I just heard about him. Roger was always a nice person to be around and did a great job for us and he will be missed.

Respectfully yours;

Eric O'Leary

I worked with roger in the air freight. industry. He was always a good friend and ready to help anyone anytime.I wil deeply miss him. god bless him and his family.

Although we didn't know much about Roger, we know he was a great neighbor and that he loved his family. He was generous and kind, remembering the times he helped shovel our driveway and other neighbors driveways,when they weren't able to do it themselves, and also when he brought lobsters over. He was a good man and we will miss him. May he Rest In Peace.
