Roger A. Hummel, age 77, of Howard, PA, formerly of East Windsor, NJ, passed away at home with family by his side on Saturday August 22, 2015.

Mr. Hummel originally from Bloomfield, NJ, resided in East Windsor, NJ for 28 years before retiring from his business's Shipping Connection and Professional Support Services and moving to Howard, PA with his beloved wife, Carole, 10 years ago.

He was predeceased by his wife, Carole A. Hummel. He has six children, Patricia A. Stark (Darrell) of Galloway, NJ, Cynthia M. Sookne (Charles) of Howard, PA, James F. Hetzel (Tamara) of Jamesburg, NJ, Deborah L. Hummel of Howard, PA, Roger A. Hummel, Jr. of Thailand and Karen A. Sepe (Dan) of East Windsor, NJ; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Joan Ruth (Robert) of Chandler, AZ and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday August 26, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S Main St, Allentown, NJ 08501(www.pepplerfh.com)

Roger was a twenty-five year member and Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown, NJ, 320 North Main Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Memorial Services will be held at his church on Thursday August 27, 2015 at 11:30 am, followed by a reception in the fellowship hall of the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Mr. Hummel's name to Saint Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, www.StJude.org.

We are so sorry for your loss. We will miss talking with him and enjoying his unique sense of humor. Roger was a good husband and father and he will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to all of you. Even though I hadn't seen Uncle Roger in many, many years, he will be missed by the entire family. He's with Aunt Carole now and they're together again.
