Not sure what to say?

I was a friend of Roger's from our high school days - one of the group from Bob K's basement. I am very sorry to hear of Roger's (we called him "Howie") passing. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Dear Emily and Roger;
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Roger. We can still see him as a little boy pulling his wagon full of his tools and wood. He was a sweetie. We would have loved to been with you at this time but unfortunately was not able to. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this great loss.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your son, Roger. I got to know Roger since we worked in the same building on Clinton. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Roger for his courage and strength. He had a sense of humor and never complained.

I worked with Roger for the past couple years at Tri-City. I always admired him for staying so strong and keeping his spirits high through all that he went through. He was very special person and not one that you don't come by very often. My thoughts are with you.
