To Roger's children,
I worked with your Dad for 7 years at the Hoffman Estates P.O. We were good friends. He was an excellent co-worker. He used to mind his own business and never ratted on anyone. He taught me lessons I've kept with me to this day (I still work for the post office-33 years). The last time I saw your Dad was when he retired. I found out about his passing today. I was very proud to have known him, as I'm sure are all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this...

Dear Kolze family,
Roger aka "Whitey" was a high school classmate of mine. While I only saw him once or twice since the 50's I have vivid memories of him. He always carried a smile, was of a gentle nature, and a great team player. Tinker Meyer and Whitey Kolze were a formidable team together. He was a good athlete and a good friend of many. I am sure he carried these great qualities into the rest of his life. I am privileged to have know him.
