Dear Madeleine, we were so sorry to hear of Roger's death. We just returned from the SPAADS reunion where you were missed. Roger was a happy man and always so pleasant. Your 18 years together must have been joyous. We were not here for Roger's burial but you were certainly in our thoughts and the thoughts of many in Victoria. We send our deepest sympathy. I remember meeting Roger in Beirut in 1975 and then often on the bus from Blackburn to downtown Ottawa.
He was a true officer and a gentleman.
