Not sure what to say?

It's unfortunate that I should look him up after many decades and from thousands of miles away, only to find out that he has passed away recently. I visited him at his home in Esko in 1980. He was very kind and told me he had been in Iran during WWII.

Jill, I was sorry to hear from my Mom that your Dad had passed. It made me sad to hear that, but the mention of his name brought back a bunch of fun childhood memories. I hope you are doing well.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Donn, and your family. As I remember Roger in our youth, he was unbeatable at board games and an all-around good person.

Jill and family,

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. I love you all. Peace and love. God bless.

Jill, may God bless and comfort you and your entire family in this time of great sorrow. Roger was a delight and a blessing to all of us. He was so very kind and gentle and made a lasting impact on my life. May the memory of his irresistible smile bring you lasting joy and peace. Thinking of you and praying for you.
