Not sure what to say?

On behalf of the "Kansas kinfolk" please accept our condolences. I am writing for Cliff Cross - a cousin who grew up with Roger in Sylvan Grove - and his wife, Faith Cross. They still subscribe to the Sylvan Grove newspaper and saw his obituary. All of us in Kansas are keeping you in thought and prayer.

Through you, Margaret, I got to know Roger, and will always remember the few times that I had the pleasure to golf with him. It amazed me to see him drive his ball down the middle a considerable distance, over and over again, even in his 80s! He never lost a bet with me. But he was such a gentleman. My condolences to you and your family.

Dear Margaret,
Just learned of the sad passing of your dear husband Roger. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Margaret:
Ida Franklin just told me of Roger's quite sudden death, as we hadn't read the notice in the paper.
Karl and I hope to join you and friends on Sunday to remember your wonderful husband and to meet your family. Roger was looking so healthy and fit that we were in shock to hear of his passing.

Dear Margaret and family:
On behalf of everyone at the Symphony, our hearts truly are with you. Both you and Roger have been wonderful friends, colleagues, avid supporters of the arts, and passionate lovers of life. We owe so much to both of you.
Dignified, handsome, tender, intelligent and kind - are the adjectives that come to mind immediately when I think of Roger. He will be in our hearts for always.
With great fondness and affection -

Dearest Margaret -

We just returned from our trip to learn of this incredibly sad news. We are both simply heartbroken. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time and always. Please do not hesitate if there is anything we can do to help.

Love, Tracy & Tony

Dear Margaret,

So sorry to hear of your loss - I well remember our last time together: a trip along the Pilgrim's Way with a visit to a country Inn near Westerham.

Thank you both for being such good people and for giving me many bright moments during my time at HSB.

Margaret, we are so sorry and saddened with Roger's passing. You both welcomed us so kindly when we moved our office up to Hartford and again when we joined the Hartford Club, we will miss him dearly.
