I have been away from Woonsocket for almost 8 years now, and was sad to read of Fr Marot's passing. St. Agathas YM, and the Fr. Marot center, were instrumental in me "surviving" my teenage years. I still remember my Search weekend June 1986. A song that was played on friday night had the line " this is the place where tears are understood"..., I always felt safe at the CYO center, because of that and the wonderful staff. And all of that was because Fr. Marot, made youth his lifes...

Our condolences to the family,we just heard today of his passing what a surprise..He will be missed by us all, we had a lot of family gathering when he came to Canada.Bless you all.Cousins of the family Ajutor Cote xxx

Fr. Marot, Wow, what a devoted priest!! His rapport with the youth he served was so amazing!!!! He was devoted to the CYO. A true servant of GOD. I will remember him for his kindness, patience and also for his love of helping youth in the best way he could. We've lost the best friend of our Catholic faith. Thank you for being my mentor! We were saddened to hear about Fr. Marot's passing. He officiated at our wedding in 1965. Our condolences to his family.

Fr. Marot, it is my fervent prayer and hope that you have been able to stand in front of our Father in heaven and hear Him say, well done good and faithful servant. Thank you for all you did for me, my entire family and the thousands of others who you shared the joy of Christ to throughout your life. Rest in peace.

A true pioneer of varied ministries and a stellar exemplar of the servant priest. God granted Roger a long life and he accepted the gift with a life long commitment to all his assignments. God, take this outstanding priest into eternity and your embrace. I will offer Holy Mass this Sunday in thanksgiving for Roger and for each of you who mourn his passing. God bless all of you. Fr.
