Maggie and Family: We send our love and great memories of Roger and you at Dorchester, Trumpeters, campaigns and in the Capitol. Old Timers cannot be the same without Roger´s insights and quips. We wonder what he is organizing now?! Norm & Kathy Smith

Sounds like a guy I would really like. My condolences to Kathy and the whole Martin family. Warmest Wishes, Jordan Kaplan

I first met Roger through TGFI around 1982. He was larger than life then, and stayed that way throughout his amazing life! When he put one of those big, warm, pause of his on your shoulder, you knew you were loved! I got to know Roger more as I became an Evans caddie scholar and later volunteer and board member. Around 2000, Roger and Maggie became customers of mine, and our friendship just continue to grow from there! Like the many that Roger touched, I am a better citizen, a better parent,...

Thank you Roger for bringing so many of us together! You were instrumental in insuring that so many memories and people in our political careers were kept alive. Your contributions to all of us and to Oregon will always be remembered. RIP my friend!

I was a graduate student and summer intern at TriMet. I lobbied with Roger to get the cigarette tax for senior and disabled transit statewide. And got to divide up the first state lottery dollars for transit. Roger didn't tell anyone I was an intern. So when there was an opening on the board, Roger suddenly nominated me for OTA president. He thought it was funny as hell. And I served a thousand miles away. No one knew. Roger was a great mentor to me and a real friend.

Roger Martin, you will be missed. Thank you for always being available to help and give advice. You're one of a kind. Tootie Smith

Roger was one of the first lobbyists I met when working as a new staffer in the Oregon Legislature. I will always remember how kind he was to me as a newbie. Roger had the ability to encourage others, while couching his candor in grace refined through thousands of encounters with public officials and staff. It was a privilege to know him, and I thank his family for sharing him with the Capitol family.
