Not sure what to say?

I have the honor of calling Roger my father-in-law, teacher and most of all my friend. He taught me so much and fixed so many things around my house and even our cars over the years and I am thankful. Even when he was feeling bad a few weeks before he passed away his final repair was one of our pool motors. I am blessed to have had such a wonderful man in my life. I will miss you.

Roger was my best-friend's father. He was a HUGE man of few words. He liked to grunt, smile, joke and take care of his family. He loved his wife till the day he died. He loved and was soooo loved and I know he will be missed dearly. Cheers to Amy who tirelessly cares for him even today. Great family!! God Bless to all of them.

I was adopted, raised, nurtured, loved and protected for 43 years by my Dad, Roger Milburn. He was my best friend. We talked, laughed, and cried together. He was always there for me, backing me up, every step of the way. I cannot express how thankful and grateful I am to have been placed in his arms at only 3 days old. I will never forget all of the concerts we went to together, road trips to Lake Palestine, state faiir every year, auctions, cemetery clean-ups, so many other great...

I am who I am today because of him, I don't know what I will do without him. He is the most incredible man I have ever met!! I MISS YOU DAD!!! xoxo

Roger and his late wife, Helen were my dearest friends. I met them 47 years ago.

Roger was a hard working man who loved his family and always put them before himself. Roger put God first in his life and it showed in the way he lived. He always looked forward to attending church services and church functions such as his "Singles Group". He enjoyed taking different dishes to the "Pot Luck Dinners". He made wonderful deviled eggs, peanut brittle, and homemade ice cream.

Roger and I were always good friends. Helen and her family and my family attended the same church many years. But, Roger and I were never as close as when I lost my wife in 96 to cancer. We were supportive of each other in our mutual losses. When Roger returned to Lubbock we would always renew close feelings. I can tell you from experience that he unselfishly placed others first. He has been a great blessing to my life, as others I'm sure.

On behalf of the I Have a Dream Foundation of Dallas we want to thank Roger and his family for his labor of love in transforming two one bedroom apartments at the Cedar Springs Housing Authority into a wonderful state of the art learning center for At Risk Youth. His work in association with the Homebuilders Association of Greater Dallas will help change the lives of children Dallas.

Our Board of Directors has named the Kitchen that Roger built as the Roger Milburn Memorial...

I will always remember Roger as a competent professional who could inspire the best in others through his calm leadership. Roger's faith showed in his words and in the way he lived his life. He was a giant in his industry.
