Accept this as my belated condolences for a man who stood up for literate, serious and intelligent journalism - three attributes that are sadly lacking in TV news today. I enjoyed watching Roger Mudd as a child watching CBS News with my parents. In part, he influenced my decision to pursue college studies in his field.
