I had the pleasure of working with Roger in the early 1990's when we worked together at Chesapeake General Hospital. I remember the last time I saw him I was in St. Louis at Six Flags we both laughed and thought what a small world. He will surely be missed in the Respiratory community! My thoughts and prays are with all of yall during this tragic time.

Roger was someone I sincerely enjoyed working with and being around. He always had a smile on his face and something positive to say. He was genuine, kind and a great chiropractor... everyone loved him! I am very, very sad.

Roger was one of those guys you remember as a kid that you looked up too. He was allot of fun and all of us little kids thought he was great. He always seem to have a way of showing us the positive side with an encouragement of direction. My last vivid memories of him were mostly with BSA Troop 43 where I had some of the best of times. I owe that all to the Pettitt family for introducing me to Troop and Roger for driving me to the Scout meetings in the old Ford Mustang. He was by far...

Dear Wendi, Kellie Rae, Jason, Aunt Judy, Uncle Darryl, and the Pettitt family, I am so sorry that I was out of town and couldn't make it to the funeral but pls know my thoughts and prayers were with you all day and still are. Roger was truly one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He was always so happy, friendly, energetic, loving, giving, and very genuine. Wendi and Kellie you have no idea how much my heart aches for you and I wish I had been there to give you both a big hug. I will see...

I find out that my best friend from my youth has now left us
I can not fathom how his father, wife and children feel, only to say I never knew a better man and friend
After 50 years of friendship - I still have not met anyone I respected more
I only wish that after we were 25 or so, I would have made more of an effort to keep valued friends close. As we all should think about doing.
more later - I am sad
