Roger Pietras

I worked with Dr Pietras and enjoyed his wit and humor. When a patient was transferring from the stretcher to the OR table he would always say `hips and shoulders over, hips and shoulders over´. Always made me smile. Hugs to his family as you say goodbye

Hi Kathy, We bowled with you years ago at East brook lanes. So sorry your loss. I also worked in the coffee shop where he would come and eat, he also would come through the cafeteria!! I hope you are well!!

He was definitely the fun colleague in the O.R. Always wearing his flowing yellow cover jacket! Appreciated his humor & how he lightened our strenuous & sometimes serious work environment. His annual Bake-off was a hit! Have missed him since he retired. Peace to his loved ones.

Dr Roger Pietras was a great physician as well as a wonderful person. It was a privilege to work with him in the care of our patients in surgery for many years!

Roger was a good partner in ASGR and AMC. He was reliable, hard working and always willing to help out when there was too much work and not enough of us. He made out the call schedule for our group which was no easy task. Most of all I appreciated his eccentric personality, humor and wit. RIP.

I am so saddened by this news. I have such fond memories of working with Dr. Pietras in Butterworth O.R. from 1990-2005. May he rest in peace!
