spent one year with the Rhoads Family in Toledo from July 1981 to July 1982 . This family has always been in my heart and Roger was my sweet American Dad . I remember his laugh, his sense of humor, his every day kindness and all the daily things and attentions he gave me during this very special year as an exchange student . He was such a good man cherishing his family above all . Last time we met was in august 2015 in Strasbourg and I was happy to see the love he shared with his new wife...

As an exchange student from Germany, I spent one year with the Rhoads family in 1987/88. Roger was my American Dad. He showed and taught me so many things and I will be forever grateful. His great knowledge, his hospitality, humor and warmth will never be forgotten. I am so glad we visited each other over the years and my family got to know him.
