Pastor Roger Rounds

I remember Roger from the Midler Avenue Wesleyan Methodist Church in Syracuse, NY when I was growing up in the 1970's.

My condolences to his family.

Roger was my pastor when I was 12 years old and he introduced me to Jesus, my Lord. I will always hold you in my heart, Roger. Rest in Peace eternal.

Uncle Roger's friendship with our family began at Houghton College, where he and my father shared housing. Their friendship was very much like Jonathan and David. He helped perform the wedding of my parents, was ordained the same day with my father, pastored many of the same congregations as my parents, and spoke at the funerals of both my dad and mother. He has prayed for our family over the years, spent long stays with us, and continued to pray for my husband and me as we entered ministry....

I have good memories of Rev. Rounds when he was our pastor at the Sandy Creek Wesleyan Church. I loved hearing him play his trombone for the offertory. Beautiful.

I have many wonderful memories of my uncle Roger. We spent a lot of time together while I was growing up. One of my fondest memories is when he took me to the worlds fair in NY. We had an awesome time. I know my memories will comfort me in my time of grieving. You will certainly be missed by many.
