Not sure what to say?

Whenever I visited my daughter and her family who live in Coldstream, we would attend Mass at St Patrick's Church at Lilydale and I always made a point of speaking to Fr Ryan, feeling a link as he served in R,A.A.F and I in R.A.F. in England. He Baptised two of my Grandchildren and buried another. I am sorry to hear of his death.
Norman J Hazell MBE Mayor of Wakefield

It was an honour to farewell you Father Roger Ryan and speak to members of your family. You married my wife and I in Gardenvale and baptised our beautiful daughter Jasmine (she was two, knew what was coming and ran off but you managed to convince her)! Rest In Peace Father
from Richard, Melissa, Jasmine and Maxwell XXxx

Fr Roger Ryan - you Christened our beautiful daughter, Elise Deanne Ryan. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. From Gary Ryan

Fr Roger Ryan - You were a good friend of my late father Eamon and my mother Liz and family. An entertaining guest and a person whose company we enjoyed. Down to earth and in touch with both life and church. We are all blessed to have known you. May you rest in peace.

Rest In Peace Father Ryan and may God's perpetual light shine upon you always.

Our Deepest Sympathies go out to Father Ryan's Family

Although we attended church in a short time your services were inspirational and your friendly manner made us feel part of the St Gerard Family

God has called home one of his Best

Ryan_ Fr Roger John. I had the privilege of meeting with Fr Ryan in 1983 when I was a patient in St Andrews Hospital. I had not been to Church for a number of years and it because of Fr Ryan that I went back to Church. He had the ability to make you feel that even when you have made a big mistake God still loves you. I have been grateful ever since this encounter with Fr Ryan for his wisdom and obvious love of our Saviour. May he rest peacfully in the love of our heavenly father. Marilyn...

It was a honour to have known and worked with Fr. Roger at Lilydale. There is so much more to say - but words are not enough for this good, honest, wise, loving and genuine man of Our Lord.

RYAN - Rev. Fr Roger. Well another good and kind gentleman has left us. Roger on behalf of the Bowes, Hogg & Maguire families we wish you all the best in eternal life. My mum (Phil Bowes) will miss you so much for reasons only you can know. She'll be singing with the choir for you Tuesday. Thankyou for everything our friend.

RYAN. - Rev. Fr Roger. One of the most likeable priests we have met whose great faith was an inspiration to all. We cherish the memories of your time at St Mary's Greensborough Parish and when you married us at Saint Patrick's Cathederal. Thanks for the memories and Rest in Peace. Mario and Suzanne.
