Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss. Roger was a friend, I will certainly miss his conversation (he could be so funny). I never excepted this to happen to him after everything he had been through. Once again, I am very sorry for your loss.

To the family of SPC Scherf, I am very sorry for your loss. I was your sons Platoon Sergeant before and during his tour in Afghanistan. He was a good Soldier and didn't deserve this after all he had already been through.

We Miss You

Roger. I don't understand why god had to take you away from us. Especially Tranquility. I know we didn't know you for very long because you were still newly weds but damn. Of all the guys Tranquility has ever brought around or spoke of, you were her night in shining armor. It was just the other day it seems that you guys were at our house laughing and talking about cars and stuff. It's sad for me to think i saw you just the other night at apple bees with your friends and i didn't go say hi....

Rest in Peace, RJ, and thank you for your service.

To the Scherf Family. My heart gose out to you. Roger, I will miss you more now than every. You leaving Walter Reed was tough but now my next glimps of you will be in the heavens. May God be with you all.

RJ. You are my hero. May i be honored to march by your side in heaven and be blessed with memories of you while i am still on earth. Your brother in arms. Semper Fi,

Dell McCaslin

I am very sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for your family. Roger was a great young man, we were all very lucky to know him!

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May the memories of his short life be a comfort for all of you in the years to come, as you gather together he will always be there in your hearts. Angie Deary

To the Scherf Family,
My wife and I would like to express our sympathies at the loss of your son. We meat Roger at Walter Reede and found him to be an strong and upbeat person. For every thing Roger has been through he is a true hero in my eyes and my wife. He will be missed and we know the he can rest in peace now with the brothers that went before him. We sometimes forget what freedom can cost and that cost is high. Roger was a good man and a good son. We will miss him and...
