In 1986 I interviewed for a contracting job in the NASA Networking and Telecommunications Branch. Roger was the manager and he was the final person that interviewed me, if I passed that interview I would get the job. Roger told the contracting company that he wanted to bring me on his staff. I will always be grateful for the that. Five years later Roger hired me away from the contractor as Civil Service employee which is another thing I will always be grateful for.
