Not sure what to say?

Hi Helen, I was with Roger in Edinburgh where I was in the next diploma class after Roger. I came to Cornell once and stayed with you. I have only fond memories of Roger and feel sad at his death. I am very happy to see that he remained true to his life philosophy and that this was expressed in his epitaph. I hope you are well despite your great loss. John Sinclair

Dear Helen,
Jean and I were extremely saddened to learn that Roger is no longer with us. He is a wonderful person who helped me in science, for which I am deeply indebted. He is also a dear friend who we enjoyed whenever we had the chance to visit. He must leave a large hole in your life, as he will for us. Thanks for your great tribute to him!
All best wishes,
John
