Roger was such a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor - I'm sure he is truly missed. I will never forget the time you visited us in Colorado Springs and Roger chose blue jello for dessert at Furr's cafeteria. The reason? He said that he would NEVER be able to find blue jello in Berkeley!

I first met Rodger when he worked at Stiles Hall on Bancroft Way in Berkeley in the late 1960's and ran the San Quentin program. In about the early 1980's, Rodger built some built-in book cases and a TV cabinet for us which we use to this day. I lost touch with him and am so sorry to come across this obituary. So I want to let you know what a fine fellow he was in all my dealings with him. I am sure all the others in the San Quentin program feel the same way. Please accept my condolences on...

I remember Roger Fondly - but didn't realize that we share the same birthday! I love how inclusive and harmonious his relationship was with Andrèe and her extended family of artists and philosophers. Sweet thoughts to his family and many friends in this time of sorrow.
