Roger was a cousin on my mother's side. We grew up together in DeKalb and remained close throughout the years albeit miles apart. Roger was best man at our wedding. Roger's strength was in his character and quiet demeanor. He was intensely loyal to his principles, to his family, to his country, and to his friends. No higher tribute can be made to anyone.
