Not sure what to say?

Mary Frances, my sister Dorothy brought my attention to this notice. Please except my condolences and sympathy. It's been a long time since I've seen you but those Black River memories are still there. Patricia Maynard Prather

I had the distinct honor of being a former PE student of Mr. Roger Thrift at NBH in 1970. Mr. Thrift was a very kind, professional, and considerate teacher and coach.I would like to convey my deepest sympathy to his family during this time of sorrow. The great legacy he leaves behind will continue to live on forever. May God bless you and your family during this time of sorrow.

I was a freshman at East Carolina when Roger was a senior. He was an outstanding young man, whom we all admired. He was the consummate football player, and was probably the most popular man on campus that year(1950-51). Roger and his family lived in our Methodist parsonage in Halifax (NC) where his father was pastor some years before my husband and I moved to Halifax in 1956. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you experience the loss of this great man. Blessings, Anne Butler Shepard...

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I did not have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Thrift, but have heard a lot about him and know he was very loved by his son Michael and daughter in law Suzette. I will keep y'all in my prayers and once again, I am very sorry. With much love and sympathy to all of you! De Anne~
