Was always amazed at his phrasing in the French school. His Munch recordings were superb. My friend Jimmy Welsh loved the guy.

I had the great priveledge of knowing and working with Roger. He conducted many peformances which I played as a student at Tamglewood and later as a member of the OLD SOUTH BRASS. Roger was not only a great musician but he was a gentle soul who inspired hundreds of young musicians. Roger leaves the musical world a richer place.

Mr. Voisin,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

In fact, I'm sure I overstayed my welcome more than once, but I always found it difficult to leave a home filled with live and recorded music and a zest for life. And how I remember the piano recitals and the delicate eclairs that were our reward for hard work (and for our parents' forbearance for the hours of not practicing). I hope that your memories of...

To Mr. Voisin's Family- Although I did not know Mr. Voisin personally, he greatly affected me as I have been a supporter of the BSO for a long time and on occasion, a guest artist with the orchestra. I was always taken with the character of his playing, and the discipline that he brought to his craft and to his steadiness of presence within the orchestra.
I certainly will always remember him and will pass on the obit to my students so that they may understand better his legacy as...

Roger brought great joy into our lives, both musically and personally. I recall, with special fondness, his eager participation in the Lenox Tub Parade for a number of years. He and Martha were an inspiration to Peggy and me. We shall miss him, but his memory remains strong in each of us.

One summer, I believe it was 1974, we rented a cotttage across form the Voisin cottage on Stockbridge bowl. Rodger took a great deal of time to show our 3 young children all his trumpets and mouthpieces. He showed them how to blow thru the mouth piece and make a tune. He also took time to show them how to fish. He was so kind. The children my husband and I remember that summer with great fondness. My condolences to the Voisin family.
