Not sure what to say?

Sissy, I'm so sorry to learn of Roger's passing. Some of my fondest memories from a few decades ago were listening to Roger sing and play his guitar, whether we were on the old train from Williams to the Grand Canyon or visiting Tombstone. When he used to play at different bars around town I'd sometimes bring my Mom to hear him play, and he always obliged in playing her favorite tune, Red River Valley. He sure was a class act, and it was my pleasure to spend time with the both of you.

Roger gave me the wonderful opportunity to play drums in his group Yellow Rose Band in 1979. On my 27th birthday October 11 of that year we opened up for Mel Tillis at the Chaperone Center in Midland. I will always hold Roger as a learning point of how to be a professional musician and entertainer. Thank you Sissy and all my brothers and sisters of Yellow Rose in the memory of Roger Young.

Sissy I miss you and will always miss Roger his great smile and the way he made me smile.I think of you two often and was saddened to hear of Rogers passing.

You know Roger gave me my 1st guitar lesson back when my Mom was Married to the guy that owned it. I used to pick up the Quarters the mourning after. I was going thru an old box when my Mom passed and found old pictures of Roger and the Band. God Bless all of you who really knew him.

Dearest Sissy, Just received this sad news. We loved Roger and his music, but most of all his unique spirit. Cannot tell you how heavy our hearts are that this great man has left us. The comfort that he is now among the greatest of friends makes me smile. I hope you can find joy in his finding eternal life.
