Roland Gabriel Joseph ANTHONY

Roland was a great guy and was well liked by everyone who met him. I enjoyed numerous great times with Roland. I worked in the same office as Roland in Carlton for several years. He and I were running our Legal firms from the same premises in Carlton and cross referred work to each other. I also studied at Melb Uni law course and did some MBA subjects with Roland. Roland was a great lawyer and a great colleague. I have not been in touch with Roland for some years and was shocked to hear...

A chance encounter with Roland at the University of Melbourne in the late 1970s led to a enduring friendship of more than 45 years. An elegant and kind man who confronted challenges with his unique dry humour and disarming wit. As one of his favourite authors, Richard Flanagan, observed: "Experience is but a moment. Making sense of that moment is a life". Roland will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. Heartfelt condolences to Sin and family. Joe and Sue Tsalanidis
