Not sure what to say?

Dearest Gloria and family,

We remember Roland as a scientist who knew God in a special way. His commitment to Christ and to following him as a husband and father and member of the family of God reminds me of God's faithfulness and unceasing love in all seasons of life. I think of his intricate dollhouse for the girls, and his devotion and faithfulness to you in illness. A long obedience in the Lord's grace.

Now he is free at last, face to face with His savior. Think of...

As grad student at UT, Dr. Bagby was one of my favorite professors. I shall always be grateful for his personal counsel and encouragement.

Dear Gloria and Family,

We are so sorry about Roland's passing, that we have just learned from a friend in Knox. May the Lord comfort you and give you strength to overcome the grief! We are comforted in knowing that Roland is in a better place with his Lord and Master now. We regret that we have not been in touch more often, being away from Knox for parts of the year. We shall miss him for long.

With love and prayers, Kwang and Sheila

So sorry, Gloria, that we will be out of town on Thursday. Roland will be missed. It is so good to know that his body is perfect as he worships our Lord Jesus.

Roland was one of the first Zoology professors I came to know when I first arrived at the University of Tennessee many decades ago. As I worked with snake behavior, I knew that his early paper on the muscles involved in the ability of rattlesnakes to rattle continuously for hours is a classic! My sympathy to the family for their loss.

My condolence to the family. May you draw comfort from your loving family and friends and the peace that only God can give.

My sincere condolences. It was pleasure working with Roland in the old Zoology Department.
