Not sure what to say?

My great chemistry teacher and golf coach 1984-1978. Condolences.

Hi Roland, I have recently found myself on a quest to learn about Jesus more (outside of the christian bible) and I have my Aunt Deb (friend of Ricky) sitting next to me guiding me to you... I look forward to hearing from you... my email address is [email protected].

I am getting ready for a trip up to Inlet for the first time in five years and the one thing I looked most forward to was seeing Roland again at Inlet Golf Club. I was so sorry to hear just this morning that he has passed on. Roland and I started working there together the summer of 1977 when I was 16 and had my first job. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. I know my memories of one of my favorite teachers Mr. Christy are many. I can still see him in the classroom very vividly. He had such a great style of teaching that he inspired me to teach and continue my study of sciences. His quiet yet determined style in a classroom was very much needed by me in such a challenging subject are as chemistry. I even took more science...

So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Christy. I have fond memories of him as my Physical Science teacher at OCS in the early-1980s (shortly before he retired). My deepest condolences to his family during this time.

Mr. Christy was one of my favorite teachers at OCS. He was a great guy! I'm sorry to hear that he's passed away.

It is with deep sorrow we mourn the passing of our dear friend of over 30 yrs. We spent many entertaining hours with him, Fr. Larry & Eddie at our dinner table in Eagle Bay as well as many hours on the Inlet Golf course. Roland was truly one of God's special creations! May he rest in peace in the arms of His Maker! Our thoughts & prayers are with all the family!

Mr. Christy spent many hours teaching me the game of golf which I cherish to this day. His patience and character made him a role model. Mr. Christy is one of the many reasons why the Adirondacks have a special place in my heart.
