Roland and Doris treated me as one of their own children when I was growing up. They use to take me to the races at Lincoln Speedway. One time as we were leaving their driveway, the Jeeps car door flew open and Doris flew out of the Jeep. She jumped up, dusted herself off and climbed back into the Jeep. I also remember that Roland loved the Indy 500 races. He use to get the reel to reel film of the race each year. I use to set with the family and watch those awesome races. They both touched...
