Not sure what to say?

Roland will always live on in my heart. He was the truest friend anyone could have. True friends accept each other as they are, in their wholeness as well as their brokenness. Roland never judged me at my worst, and got to see me at my best. I, in turn, did the same for him. That´s what made our friendship so beautiful. I miss you so much my dear friend. Until we meet again

I was shocked and heartbroken to hear of his passing. We were close friends in college and reconnected later in life on Facebook. Roland (Ice as we knew him in college) we such a kind and supportive soul and was such a great friend. He helped me through some pretty tough times in my life. The world has lost a really wonderful person.

Bonnie, I'm deeply sorry for your loss of true love. Sending you strength and heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Much love

Roland was my favorite coach when I swam on the Rainbow Forest Swim Team for many years. In his capacity as a coach, he was a great role model and someone I looked up to when I was an early teenager. I watched him play water polo at Lynchburg and he used water polo as a fun way to mix things up at swim practice and keep us engaged. He was my brother on pigeon patrol (inside joke)! Condolences to his family - he was a great person and foundational in the lives of many young people back in...

I am heartbroken to learn of the death of my friend and teammate. We spent countless days together at Vista Acres pool. He is shining example of a talented, intelligent, and dedicated teammate. Later in life we reconnected via Facebook. I appreciated his humor and our interactions. The Lynchburg swimming community has lost a notable and valuable member of its history and lineage. My condolences to his family and friends. In reference to a personal joke we had, "Roland, my next PB&J...

I'm very sad to hear about Roland; and offer my condolences to his family. I knew Roland from Heritage High, and swam with him for our winter league. I remember Rolamd, his Mom, Dad, and brother Richard well, and hope for peace for all his loved ones.

My deepest sympathy on your loss. Roland was a very special and unique person. I have fond memories of Roland and will miss our intellectual sparring matches and then laughing together. Covering you all in prayer .
